Our principals initially founded Intermac Trading Pty. Ltd. in November of 1990, after they perceived a niche existed in a commodities trading operation which had good access to producers and consumers of dried milk products world wide.  This access existed through the knowledge acquired by one of the company’s founders Mr. W.R. McKenzie and his 40 years of senior and international experience in the dairy industry.  

 

Mr. McKenzie utilised his extensive relationships to gain access to quality dairy products from the European continent, and introduce the business to secondary and tertiary manufacturers in the South East Asian region.

 

Mr. McKenzie removed himself from business operations in 1994 in order to pursue other activities on behalf of the Australian Dairy Corporation and, the company management  then continued on with co-founder Mr. Gregory McKenzie.

 

In 2004 it was decided to rebrand the business in order to undertake consulting operations within the overall business group. The overarching corporate control then passed to Brightstar Group Holdings Pty Ltd.

 

Brightstar now has representatives in various countries in the Asian, European and American Continents.   These include Ukraine, Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Thailand, Bangladesh, India, China, the United States of America and others.

 

Brightstar trades in a diversified portfolio of agricultural commodities. This product range is separated into four distinct units; Dairy, Other Agricultural Commodities, Rail, Power Generation.

 

Brightstar also has a consulting portfolio which aids in connecting a diverse range of projects with both other service providers and equipment manufacturers.  Utilising over 30 years of  experience in international markets we have aided in the opening of new product markets in Asia in both foods and manufactured equipment.  We have undertaken project development on electricity generation including Waste to Energy, Wind power and Solar Projects.     With these projects it has also been necessary to connect project developers with project financiers worldwide. 

 

From humble beginnings connecting dairy factories with ingredient users, Brightstar and its group of companies has become an International  facilitator in both product and Service Trade.
